The Project
Our project will not only benefit our local community by having a museum display, offering educational programs, and having culteral events and festivals to celebrate all cultures, but will have a direct bearing on Middle-Eastern communities, both Jewish and Arab.

Our objective is to bring both Jewish and Arab youth during the year as exchange students, and during the summer to a camp-type setting, in order to foster mutual understanding, tolerance, and cooperation between the two peoples. During their stay, they will be immersed in cross-culteral educational experiences, in addition to daily residing with their Jewish/Arab counterpart.

They will also be with our family on a daily basis, which will be a model of peace between the cultures. As I am Jewish, and my husband is Arab, we truly believe that we are the ideal candidates to begin this unique project. Not only do we have the business management experience to facilitate this undertaking, but perhaps more importantly, our hearts are in it.

We hope to show the youth that there are many more similarities than differences between the two cultures. Our goal is to help promote peace between the cultures by educating the up-and-coming generation. We also want to establish a meeting place in Israel where all of our visitors may continue to keep their newfound friendships flourishing after they return home.

Do you believe that a project such as the Shalom-Salem Project would serve a worthy purpose?

Project Highlights:
* Museum
* Culteral Hall
* Summer Camp
* Restaurant
**We will also have a warehouse for food, clothing, and other essentials, for free distribution to the needy.

OUR GOAL:
We realize that peace between cultures will not be accomplished overnight, but if we strive to teach the children love instead of hate, they will in turn teach future generations, thereby bringing about the desired end. We believe that in order to foster peace, it must begin with the children.

Once the project is up and running, it will be entirely self-supporting, however, we are in need of seed money to begin this project. If you can, please be a part of this hope for peace, by sending whatever you can towards the goal.

I would like here to copy some of the words of a song;
Who Will Save The Children?
As we observe them
through our TV screens,
They seem so distant
and unreal,
But they bleed like we bleed,
And they feel what we feel.
Heaven is watching tonight,
Tugging at our hearts
to do what's right.
And we are God's hands,
we are His voice,
We are the one's
who must make the choice.
And if it isn't now,
tell me when,
If it isn't you,
then tell me who
Will save the children?
Who will save the children?
